The Belt Buckle Knife in review (item# DV-01) was designed by Dan Valois and made by Master Cutlery, Inc. (Largest variety in the knife industry), the largest knife manufacturer in the USA.
This item features a concealed, fast access belt buckle knife that can be quite handy in certain situations.
The buckle knife is affixed to the upper part of the plastic sheath by a double pronged clip found behind the buckle’s pakkawood curb handle at the end of the knife’s tang.

The hidden sheath located behind the nylon belt strap on one end of the belt keeps the blade from being seen.
The sheath (cover) affixed to one end of the belt has a single metal clip that has one end folded, attaching it to the sheath, while the other end that goes through the sheath, forms a hook (mordant) on the other side.

The hook is the part which enters the hole that is found on an adjustable metal piece on the other end of the strap, to fit different waist sizes and buckle up the belt.

Now who would ever think that this belt hides such a tool that can prove useful in Self defense if the need arises.
This dual-purpose belt is so cool as it not only serves to support outer garments and at the same time may provide the wearer some protection where needed, but it is also apparently fashionable and impressive.
Here are things that you need to look out for if you happen to have this kind of Belt Knife:
1. When buckling, while trying to tighten the belt one should be careful and make sure to get a good hold of the buckle knife’s handle because you may unexpectedly pull it out, drop it and impale your foot in the process…
2. It can be considered as a “concealed weapon” and may get you into trouble…

The blade’s sheath acts as the “chape” and in a sense, serves as the real buckle itself.
